Hey there, warrior! Look, we're gonna be straight with you - privacy matters. At Arcen Valor Forge, we take protecting your personal info as seriously as we take proper squat form.
This policy breaks down what data we collect when you train with us, sign up for our programs, or just browse our site. We're not about those shady practices - everything here's transparent, just like our coaching approach.
By using our services or stepping into our facility at 2847 Granville Street in Vancouver, you're agreeing to what's outlined here. If something doesn't sit right with you, reach out. We're always happy to talk it through.
When you join our warrior tribe, we'll need the basics - your name, email, phone number, and address. Pretty standard stuff. If you're signing up for personal coaching, we might ask about your fitness background, any injuries, and what goals you're chasing.
Gotta keep the lights on and the barbells stocked, right? We collect payment details when you purchase memberships or book sessions. Don't worry though - we use secure payment processors, so your credit card info isn't just sitting on our server.
Our website collects some technical stuff automatically - your IP address, browser type, what pages you check out, how long you hang around. It helps us figure out what's working and what needs fixing on the site.
If you're working with one of our coaches, we'll track your progress - PRs, measurements, training notes. This stays confidential and helps us tailor your programming. We won't share your lifts without permission, promise.
We're not collecting data just for kicks. Here's what we actually do with it:
We're not selling your info to random companies or bombarding you with unrelated marketing. That's not our style.
We're pretty protective of your data, but there are a few situations where we might share it:
Sometimes we work with other companies - payment processors, email services, booking software. They only get access to what they need to do their job, and they're contractually bound to keep it secure.
If law enforcement shows up with a proper warrant or we're legally obligated to disclose something, we'll comply. We're not trying to be heroes and break Canadian law.
If we ever sell the gym or merge with another facility (not planning on it, but you never know), your data might transfer as part of that deal. You'd be notified if this happens.
If you ask us to share something - like sending your progress to your physiotherapist - we'll do that. But only with your explicit okay.
What we DON'T do: Sell your email to marketing lists, share your health data with insurance companies, or post your info publicly without permission.
Yeah, we use cookies. Not the protein kind - the digital ones. They help our website remember you and work properly.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Just know that some parts of the site might not work as smoothly if you do. Most browsers let you control this pretty easily - check your browser's help section for details.
We don't use creepy tracking tech that follows you around the internet. Just basic stuff to keep the site running and improve your experience.
It's your data, and you've got rights. Here's what you can do:
Wanna know what info we have on you? Just ask. We'll send you a copy of everything we're storing. Usually takes a few days to compile.
If something's wrong - old phone number, misspelled name, whatever - let us know and we'll fix it. You can update most stuff yourself through your member portal too.
Moving away from Vancouver? No longer training? You can request we delete your account and associated data. There might be some stuff we gotta keep for legal reasons (like tax records), but we'll wipe everything else.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're off our marketing list. We'll still send essential stuff like billing notifications and important gym updates though.
Want to take your workout history to another gym? We can export your data in a usable format. It's your progress - you should own it.
To exercise any of these rights, shoot us an email at info@arcenvalorforge.info or call (604) 872-5683. We'll get back to you within a week.
We take security seriously. Your data's protected with industry-standard measures:
That said, no system's 100% bulletproof. If we ever have a data breach, we'll notify affected members immediately and work with authorities to sort it out. We'll also let you know what happened and what we're doing about it.
Your part: Keep your login credentials to yourself. Don't share your member portal password. If you think your account's been compromised, change your password ASAP and let us know.
Sometimes we'll link to other sites - maybe nutrition resources, equipment suppliers, or articles we think are useful. Once you click through to those sites, you're in their territory and their privacy policies apply.
We try to only link to reputable sources, but we can't control what they do with your data. If you're clicking through to buy something or sign up for something elsewhere, check their privacy policy first.
Social media's the same deal. We've got social profiles where we post workout tips and gym updates, but those platforms have their own rules. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube - they all handle data differently than we do.
Bottom line: When you leave our site or facility, you're on your own regarding privacy. We're only responsible for protecting the data we directly collect and control.
Our programs are designed for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from kids under 18 without parental consent.
If you're under 18 and wanna train with us, you'll need a parent or guardian to handle the registration and sign the necessary forms. They'll be the account holder, and all communications go through them.
We occasionally run youth programs or allow teens to train under special circumstances, but that's always with full parental involvement. Parents get access to all the data we collect about their kids and can request deletion at any time.
If we discover we've accidentally collected info from someone under 18 without proper parental consent, we'll delete it immediately. If you're a parent and think we might have your kid's info, reach out and we'll handle it right away.
Things change - technology evolves, laws get updated, we might add new services. When that happens, we might need to update this privacy policy.
If we make any significant changes, we'll let you know. Probably through an email to all active members and a notice on the site. For minor tweaks (like fixing typos or clarifying wording), we'll just update the "Last Updated" date at the top.
We recommend checking this page occasionally, especially if it's been a while since you last looked at it. The current version always applies to your use of our services.
If you don't agree with any changes we make, you can close your account. We'd hate to see you go, but we respect your right to make that choice. Just contact us and we'll process your account closure and data deletion.
Got questions about this privacy policy? Wanna exercise your data rights? Just confused about something? We're here to help.
